There are many good things about these movies: story line; philosophy; special effects; martial arts scenes; gunplay, sunglasses.

But I'd have to say that one of the best things is Carrie-Ann Moss in that tight shiny vinyl pantsuit, as she's whirlng through the air kicking ass.

Rented and watched this last night.

First off: I am NOT a Tarantino fan, but I just have to say that it is a great movie. Yes, it was violent (it's Tarantino) but I remembered watching it that he has quite a remarkable eye for detail and beauty, There is some really arresting cinematography in this film along with all the grotesquery and blood.

The acting is middling, the American actors are okay while the European cast is generally superb. Pitt has his moments but...

TAD. Thought you'd enjoy this. They're coming to Austin.

I went into this with guarded optimism, aware of the good reviews and the expected visual feast.

What I got was a visual feast that was barely worth watching.

Cliche after cliche just wore me out as the story unfolded in exactly the way you would expect it to. I suppose for kids, aside from the occasional cussing, this might be fun, but oh dear god, do we really need the gung ho commander who hates indigenous people and only cares about proving what a big man he is?...
